The flow is an information and safety sequence, not permission to open a press under pressure or perform energized work. Technical confirmation may require a drawing, sample or application review.
When to Request Spare Parts or Maintenance Support
Contact the service team when filtration time changes, filtrate becomes cloudy, the cake does not release normally, a plate or cloth shows damage, or a hydraulic, feed, air or washing connection needs inspection. A symptom alone is not enough to identify a replacement part: the same visible problem can result from cloth installation, slurry condition, plate alignment, sealing surfaces or an operating sequence.
- Replacement filter plates and cloths matched against an equipment nameplate, photographs, dimensions and operating conditions.
- Inspection planning for leakage, cloth blinding, slow cycles, cake-release problems and visible wear.
| Observed condition | Useful first records | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Plate-edge leakage | Photos of the closed plate pack, sealing faces, cloth position and nameplate | That a new plate alone will correct alignment, feed or cloth problems |
| Cloudy filtrate | Filtrate sample description, cloth condition, cycle steps and slurry changes | That clarity is the same as final water-quality compliance |
| Cake remains on cloth | Cake texture, cloth type, release sequence and unloading photographs | That a new cloth is suitable without checking material and attachment |
| Longer cycle | Feed pattern, pressure readings by function, slurry solids and recent maintenance | That filtration area directly equals production capacity |
A Practical Maintenance Review Process
- 1. Record the equipment nameplate, model reference, plate count or pack arrangement, and the date and symptom of the request.
- 2. Photograph the front and rear of plates, both sides of handles, cloth attachment, feed and filtrate holes, seals, hydraulic area and any damaged part.
- 3. Measure length, width, thickness, chamber depth, hole locations, sealing details and interfaces; use the measurement guide where appropriate.
- 4. Describe slurry, solids, temperature, pH, cycle steps, cleaning method and any change from normal operation.
- 5. Receive a compatibility review, clarification list and quotation scope before ordering or changing the part.
| Review stage | Customer provides | Service decision |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Nameplate, machine photos and existing drawings | Whether the equipment and part family can be identified |
| Geometry | Measured dimensions and hole or seal details | Whether a standard match is plausible or a sample is needed |
| Material and duty | Slurry, temperature, pH and cleaning conditions | Whether material and construction require technical confirmation |
| Scope | Required quantity, spare stock and urgency | Items suitable for quotation and open technical gaps |
Parts Covered by the Review
Replacement filter plates are checked by structure rather than appearance alone. Submit front, rear and side photographs, handle details, plate length and width, thickness, chamber depth, feed and outlet-hole positions, sealing profile, pull or opening arrangement, squeeze connections where present, material and operating duty. The confirmed filter-plate series includes sizes from 250 to 2000 mm, with 1000 mm and 1250 mm examples in the available reference material. These references do not establish that every size or configuration is suitable for every press; the exact model must be confirmed from the equipment and application data.
Replacement cloth review includes plate type, center or corner openings, neck, edge and fixing arrangement, finished dimensions, stitching and operating history. A like-for-like replacement differs from an improvement request. If the customer wants a different release, clarity or washing result, review slurry and cleaning conditions instead of selecting fabric by size alone.
- Use the filter plate and cloth measurement guide for a repeatable field record.
- Mark each measurement with its unit and identify whether it was taken from a clean part, installed part or worn part.
- Send the original sample when dimensions, seal geometry or stitching cannot be established reliably from photographs.
Safe Maintenance Boundaries
Routine checks should follow the machine manual, site risk assessment and authorized maintenance procedure. Confirm the press is stopped, isolated and free of stored pressure before opening, measuring, cleaning or replacing parts. Electrical inspection and control work belong to qualified personnel. Hydraulic, pneumatic, feed and wash lines require their own isolation and pressure-release checks. Never defeat a guard, sensor or interlock to continue production.
Filter cloth washing and filter cake washing are different. Cloth cleaning concerns the filter surface; cake washing concerns liquid flow through the cake and its collection path. Cleaning chemicals require review of cloth, plate, seal, slurry and site safety. This service provides no universal chemical recipe.
| Task | Safe confirmation before work | Record after work |
|---|---|---|
| Plate or cloth replacement | Isolation complete; pack unloaded; lifting and handling method ready | Part identity, dimensions, orientation, fastening and photos |
| Leakage inspection | Feed and hydraulic pressure removed; no trapped pressure | Leak location, seal condition, alignment and corrective action |
| Cloth cleaning | Approved method and material compatibility reviewed | Cleaning method, result, damage and next inspection date |
| Control or electrical work | Authorized technician and lockout confirmed | Test result and any control changes under the site record |
Information to Include in a Spare-Parts Request
Send the equipment name, country, contact person, quantity and deadline with the technical record. If a field is unknown, write Not Sure rather than estimating it. Attach JPG, PNG or PDF files showing a scale or identified reference. The request can cover plates, cloths, a maintenance symptom or several items.

- Company, country and site contact.
- Equipment nameplate and machine photographs.
- Part name, quantity, dimensions, material and installation arrangement.
- Slurry description, temperature, pH, operating cycle and cleaning conditions.
- Failure symptom, photographs, drawing or original sample status.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you identify a replacement plate from one photograph?
One photograph may start the review, but it normally cannot confirm thickness, chamber depth, hole positions, sealing geometry or handle details. Send the nameplate, multiple views and measured dimensions; a drawing or sample may still be required.
Do the 250 to 2000 mm plate references apply to every machine?
No. They describe the confirmed reference range, with 1000 mm and 1250 mm examples. The actual plate size, material, chamber and interfaces must be checked against the specific press and slurry duty.
Can maintenance support guarantee a cake moisture result or cycle time?
No. Moisture and cycle behavior depend on slurry properties, solids basis, cloth, chamber volume, pressure functions, cycle settings and test conditions. These must be reviewed or tested before a process result can be discussed.
Can I open the press to inspect a leak if production must continue?
No. Do not open a press under pressure or bypass an interlock. Stop the equipment, isolate all relevant energy and pressure sources, and follow the site procedure with authorized personnel.
What is the difference between a replacement cloth and a cloth improvement request?
A replacement cloth aims to match the existing installation. An improvement request changes a material, weave, opening, edge, fastening or cleaning objective and therefore needs slurry, operating and sample information before selection.
